Liverpool eyeing prodigious striker from Brazil
Liverpool’s interest in Brazil forward Luan has compelled the EPL outfit to send a scout to monitor the Gremio forward’s progress.
According to Globo Esporte, the Reds had a representative in attendance on Wednesday when Gremio clashed against Godoy Cruz in Copa Libertadores.
It’s believed that the Reds are one of a number of European sides exploring a deal for the 24-year-old, who is valued at around only £18m by his club. Spartak Moscow were reportedly ready to shell out €20m for Luan but the 24-year-old youngster is reportedly keen on seeing out the final year of his contract.
Luan has grabbed the eyeballs of various “biggies” of Europe since performing impressively while representing his country at the Rio Olympics last summer. The Brazil international is into the final year of his current deal with the Porto Alegre team.
Luan is versatile, is clever in his positioning and, as you’d expect from a Brazil international, plays the game with a degree of flair. He’s capable of producing individual moments of brilliance, despite being a team player; thus drawing comparisons with Ronaldinho.
