Real Madrid signing Vinicius Jr. scores his first professional goal
Vinícius Júnior scored his first professional goal for Flamengo as the Rubro-Negros thrashed Deportivo Palestino today.
The much-awaited goal arrived in a Copa Sudamericana match against Chile’s Club Deportivo Palestino. Vinícius came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute, and within a minute, found the net.
The young Brazilian’s cross from the left flank rebounded back in his direction and he wasted no time in slamming a fierce shot into the goal from near distance.
Flamengo won the match 5-0 (10-2 on aggregate).
The 17-year-old forward signed for Real Madrid when Los Blancos reportedly paid €45 million to acquire the federative rights of the player. However, the club further confirmed that Vinícius would stay at Flamengo until at least he comes of age in July 2018.
Vinícius has already played 15 times for the Flamengo senior team, starting three of those matches.
