Dortmund stamps massive price-tag on Dembele amidst interest from multiple suitors
Borussia Dortmund have reportedly stacked up a huge £90m price tag on Ousmane Dembele’s head.
Ousmane Dembele, who is under contract with Dortmund until 2021, is one of the hottest transfer subjects in the summer transfer window and it has been reported that Dortmund are refusing to consider selling the player, unless a club can match their £90million valuation, according to Bild.
Dembele, who is attracting interest from PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid, has made it to the wanted list of Arsenal too. PSG and Barcelona, like Arsenal, are reported to have had a bid rejected for the player, but it is not known how much either side offered.
With PSG looking all set to land Barça’s Neymar at Parc des Princes, their interest in Dembele looks to be done and dusted. It now looks like a straight battle between Real Madrid, Arsenal and Barcelona for Dembele.
This is the first time Arsenal have been linked with Ousmane Dembele this summer. Wenger is desperately trying to bolster his squad this summer after missing out on the Champions League last season and the Gunners are making all the right noises in this summer transfer window.
He has already smashed the Gunners’ transfer record to sign Alexandre Lacazette and is also trying to secure Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
Whether Arsene Wenger will be willing to stump up such a huge amount of cash for the player remains to be seen, but it is unlikely.
On Wednesday evening, Cadena Cope, the Spanish radio station claimed that Real Madrid were advanced in their move for Dembele. Madrid are believed to be leading the chase and are in advanced talks to get lure him to the Bernabeu.
