Totti’s Final Shirt Launched Into Space
Francesco Totti’s iconic number 10 shirt from his final game against Genoa has been launched into space.
Totti played his last game for Roma in the final match of the 2016-17 Serie A season, in which Roma registered a 3-2 win over Genoa.
On Tuesday, Avio, an Italian rocket design company, successfully launched a rocket carrying an exact replica of the shirt that Totti wore in the final appearance for Roma.
In an attempt to immortalize the 40-year-old’s commitment and dedication over the years, the club themselves suggested propelling Totti’s jersey into space. The idea was approved by Totti, and therefore the rocket was launched into the orbit.
