Indian footballer C K Vineeth lands a new job as Secretariat assistant
In an encouraging decision today, the Government of Kerala decided to appoint Indian footballer C K Vineeth as secretariat assistant. The decision came after a cabinet meeting held today at Trivandrum.
The 29 year old forward from Kerala was terminated from the post of Auditor at Accountants General Office, Trivandrum due to low attendance. The decision regarding his termination has sparked an outcry among football fans across the country.
C K Vineeth, who already signed a contract extension with Indian Super League outfit Kerala Blasters is considered as one of the best player in the country. He also ended the season on a high note, by becoming top Indian goal scorer in the recently concluded I-League and ISL.
The surprising decision in the cabinet meeting came within hours after honouring him with the Youth Icon of the year 2017. The state government also assured financial aid to Asian games gold medallist P U Chitra.
