East Bengal registers 18 players to bolster the squad ahead of CFL
1st August, the date marks the establishment of one of the most supported club in South Asia. Yes, Kingfisher East Bengal is the team which is being talked about who are just one day away from celebrating their 98th anniversary!
Just a day before observing the prestigious occasion, the Red and Gold brigade are showing no signs of idleness in shaping their side ahead of the Calcutta Football League. Today the Kolkata giants registered 18 footballers in the office of Indian Football Association in Kolkata.
Cavin Lobo,Gabriel Fernandes, Richard Costa, Yamilongvah, Chullova, Md. Rafique, Brandon, LalDalmaiya, Dibyendu Sarkar, Mehtab Singh, Deepak, Luis Barreto, VP Suhair and Arnab Mandal are the players who officially registered as Kingfisher East Bengal players today.
Amidst the challenges from the ISL outfits and other I-League clubs, the officials of the club showed much proactiveness by roping in some prominent names into the squad. The Red and Gold have formed arguably the strongest side on paper this season among the CFL sides in pursuit of their unprecedented Octa. Today’s mass-registration was just a stamp to their authority.
