Sergio Ramos advocates for Neymar’s move to the French capital
Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has admitted he wants Neymar to leave FC Barcelona in a world record transfer to PSG.
Neymar’s future has been less than certain recently, with PSG ready to smash the world transfer record with a €222million bid that would activate his release clause as well as a huge salary package for the player.
Sergio Ramos has admitted he wants Neymar to turn his back on Barcelona and make the switch the PSG this summer.
Speaking to reporters in the aftermath of Madrid’s recent pre-season clash with Barca in Miami, Ramos gave a diplomatic answer when asked about his thoughts on the future of Neymar.
‘I do not know, everyone is free to choose their future.
“I have a good relationship with him,” he told Marca. “We changed shirts at the end and I hope that’s the last time I get a Barca one from him, that wouldn’t be a problem for us at all!
“He didn’t tell me anything. Everyone is free to decide their own future. I think he is a great player and a key man for Barcelona – it’s up to him to decide his future.”
“I hope [he leaves]. It would be less of a problem for us.”
Ramos, who made his first pre-season appearance for Madrid, swapped shirts with the Brazilian after the clubs’ friendly in Miami on Saturday night, a game lit up by Neymar, who assisted twice in Barca’s 3-2 win, giving Barcelona fans a dazzling reminder of what they could be able to lose.
