Turkish giants Galatasaray are closing in on Marouane Fellaini, the Manchester United midfielder is linked with a move away from Manchester and Galatasaray seems the most probable destination.
Fellaini was a key player for United in 2016/17 and also shares a good relationship with manager Jose Mourinho.
But the Belgian can depart Manchester in the current transfer window as the Red Devils seem interested in other midfield options and the Turkish giants are willing to bring him to Turkey for a new challenge.
Galatasaray Sporting Director, Cenk Ergun said:
“Fellaini will leave Manchester United and he is now on our radar.
There will be surprises, we are in talks with Fellaini.
We need a player like Fellaini who can move around in midfield.”
Fellaini has been influential for the Red Devils to win three silverwares, with Mourinho starting him in the Community Shield and Europa League final against Ajax and he was called from the bench in the EFL Cup final victory over Southampton.
Despite being a Mourinho favourite Fellaini has failed to impress the Red Devils fan base since making a £27.5 million switch from Everton.
With Matic linked with Manchester United, a move for Fellaini away from Old Trafford seems certain. So now only time will tell whether he will join Galatasaray or stay at Old Trafford.
