Ajax youngster Abdelhak Nouri out of intensive care

The 20-year old collapsed in a friendly against Werder Bremen as he suffered heart arrhythmia.

Nouri’s family has revealed via Ajax that the youngster is out of intensive care and is shifted to medium care. He is in stable condition and has a full respiratory function.

The 20-year-old suffered a heart arrhythmia during a friendly against Werder Bremen in Austria and was put into an induced coma after being resuscitated on the field.

The young midfielder is breathing on his own now but his situation has not changed drastically as he was diagnosed with severe and permanent brain damage.

Nouri has been a youth prospect for Ajax for some time now, he joined the club at the age of 7. Although it was a very unfortunate incident for the 20-year old midfielder he has received a great deal of support from his boyhood club, fans and beyond.

Fans all over the world have shown their support for the young midfielder and some of them have gathered in front of his house to welcome his family back from the hospital. Whereas Kevin Prince Boateng has also vowed to wear a shirt with his name all season to show his support.The Amsterdam club has decided that the shirt number 34 will still be assigned to him next season.
