Neymar’s probable move to the French capital getting riddled with every passing day
Neymar’s future has been less than certain recently, with PSG ready to smash the world transfer record with a €222million bid that would activate his release clause as well as a huge salary package for the player.
Neymar had kept the guessing game about his future bubbling away after posting a picture of himself looking pensive on Instagram on Friday. But Gerard Pique took to Twitter today to clear all the doubts and put a full-stop on all the guessing games ( at least for the time being ).

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique posted a Twitter image of himself with teammate Neymar on Sunday night, along with the message “Se Queda,” which translates as “he stays.”
According to French newspaper Le Parisien, Barca’s No. 11 — who is in the United States with Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde’s men for the preseason — had already told some of his current teammates that he is leaving for PSG.

Meanwhile, Spanish outlet Sport reported that Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez had managed to convince Neymar to remain at the Camp Nou, while Barcelona radio station RAC1 stated on Sunday that an initial meeting between Neymar Sr. and members of the Barça board on Saturday didn’t go well for the Catalan club, with Mundo Deportivo indicating a second round of talks were set for Sunday.
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde swatted down talk of Neymar departing to France on Friday, dismissing “rumours” while saying the squad wants him to stay for years to come.
“This is a time of rumours. We understand it’s how it is.”
“He is with us right now. One of us. It’s a player we love and we want. Not only football-wise but also for the things he brings to the locker room. It’s only rumours. There’s no need to worry about something we don’t know if it’s going to happen or not. If it happens in the future, we’ll see. But no need to worry about it now.”
Additionally, Catalan outlet Diario Goal reported that Cristiano Ronaldo told Neymar to not leave Barcelona for PSG, but rather join Manchester United if he wants a Barca exit.
The Portuguese World Player of the Year has apparently advised Neymar that moving to PSG would not be good for him at this stage of his career and if he is determined to leave Camp Nou, then he should look to seal a deal with Manchester United.
Neymar gave Barcelona fans a dazzling reminder of what they could be about to lose on Saturday, scoring twice as the Spanish Giants defeated Juventus 2-1 in a pre season friendly. Neymar showed exactly why Paris Saint-Germain would be willing to pay his €222 million buyout clause by scoring two stunning goals in Barcelona’s 2-1 International Champions Cup win over Juventus.
The Brazil international scored a first-half brace, a neat finish followed by a spectacular individual goal in New Jersey. Neymar dribbled past five Juve markers before finishing his second goal as Barca dominated in Ernesto Valverde’s first game in charge.
