Bayern München and Linkin Park first met in Shanghai, China in 2015 when both the groups were touring Asia. Since then, the two parties have maintained a healthy relationship with the band’s bassist Dave Farrell attending a game of Bayern, and Bayern defender Jérôme Boateng going to Linkin Park concerts in Germany. The band’s members were often spotted donning the club’s kits, especially Chester Bennington himself. Bennington and Farrell even sent a video message to congratulate the Bavarians on their fifth successive Bundesliga crown.
Chester, who was eminent for his sublime voice, is survived by his wife and six children.
