Evergreen FC eye I-League berth with Kerala talents
When Calcutta giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan are thinking of increasing the number of foreigners in their respective teams, Singaporean chairman of Kerala outfit Evergreen FC is thinking of making a team with Local talents.
Jiry Very, Chairman of Evergreen FC has informed that he wants to make a team with local players. He said “Kerala have so much of talent, we will recruite foreign players into the team only if we fail to find enough players of required quality within the state”.
The team is registered with Kerala Football Association and is set to launch on Tuesday. The club is a joint initiative of an Singapore based sports company. The team is set to play it’s home matches at newly built Greenfield Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, they have also kept an alternative stadium if they fail to hire the newly built stadium.
This year I-League and ISL is set to start after the U-17 WC, both I-League and ISL will run paralley this time.
