Serge Gnabry Loaned out to Hoffenheim
In the beginning of the July, FC Bayern Munchen secured the signing of 22 year old Werder Bremen’s midfielder Serge Gnabry winning the race against RB Leipzig and TSG Hoffenheim. He signed a contract with the club till 2020 and the transfer fee was € 8 million.
The former Arsenal man had a terrific performance in the 2016/17 Bundesliga season and scored 11 goals for Werder which attracted the likes of many clubs. This Friday Bayern Munchen announced the loan of Serge Gnabry to the fellow Bundesliga club Hoffenheim who finished 4th in the league last season and secured a Champions League spot.
This deal was a reason of his lack of playing time at the club according to Bayern President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. The loan deal can be good for the player as he can get more experience of the league and the Europe with Hoffenheim and come back stronger to Bayern the next season.
Rummenige gave his best wishes to Serge on his loan to Hoffenheim and also thanked the club for the earnest and constructive discussions which led to this agreement. Serge might play in Hoffenheim’s pre-season friendly match against Genoa on the 22nd of July.
