Mumbai City FC re-appointed Alexandre Guimaraes as their manager
Mumbai City FC re-appointed Alexandre Guimaraes as their head coach for the upcoming season Hero Indian Super League which is scheduled to start in the month of November later this year.
The services of Guimaraes helped the Mumbai based team to reach the semi finals of the competition last term, their best performance in ISL. Speaking about the contract, he said
“We achieved some of the objectives last year by finishing top of the table and reaching the semi-finals but I’d like to continue this project and finish the job I came here for.”
The 57 year old is well known for his achievements as head coach of Costa Rican national team, as he lead the team past the Qualifying stages of the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World cup.
In his 23 years as a coach, Guimaraes has managed 15 different sides during his career.
