Keisuke Honda joins CONCACAF Champions League winners
Japan star Keisuke Honda signs with Liga MX’s Pachuca. Keisuke Honda, one of Japan’s preeminent players of the last decade, has signed with Liga MX’s Pachuca, the CONCACAF Champions League holders announced on Friday.
The 31-year-old was a free agent after his contract with AC Milan expired in June. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The former CSKA Moscow player was sold to Milan for a reported €20 million and had been linked to leagues all over the world after his contract with the Serie A club ended.
Pachuca Tuzos won the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League title and will play in the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup, Honda will team with the U.S. men’s national team’s Omar Gonzalez.
