Bhaichung Bhutia to join Premier Futsal League

Star footballer Bhaichung Bhutia joins Premier Futsal despite having an association with AIFF.

The Indian football icon, Bhaichung Bhutia will join Premier Futsal League as a talent director despite having a connection with AIFF which does not recognise the venture.

The former Indian captain will be heading as it’s amateur talent hunt programme.
Premier Futsal has been a valuable centre of producing young talents which help in building the epicentre of Indian Sports.

Bhutia said in a statement on Thursday:

“Premier Futsal League has emerged as a category-defining offering in the Indian sporting landscape. It is a great honour for me to be a part of such a tournament.”

Dinesh Raj, managing director of Premier Futsal said:

“It is a matter of great pride and honour for us to have a personality of Bhaichung’s stature to be a part of Premier Futsal.”

Interestingly the 40-year old Indian football sensation is also involved with the national football and also the All India Football Federation in several roles.

Meanwhile, Balon d’Or winner and Brazilian legend Ronaldinho will visit Mumbai on Friday and will explore his future with Premier Futsal, a variation of football played indoors.
