A Trivandrum based club Eyes I-league entry through corporate bid
Mysports Management, a sports management firm based from Singapore has fuelled Trivandrum’s hopes of having representation in top tier of Indian football.The representatives of the firm is in kerala to make the dream a reality.
According to sources, Mysports has completed registration of the club with KFA and is involved in advanced talks with officials of Greenfield stadium, Trivandrum for using the ground as home ground for its matches.
The official launch of the club will be held in coming days once the legal formalities are completed.The name of the club will be Evergreen FC. The club will also start an academy in Trivandrum for developing football in the city.
According to comments of CEO, the annual budget of the club would be close to 20 crores per season. The firm had prior consultation with AIFF and KFA about the possibility of starting the club.
The CEO of Mysports Mr.Jiri Cerny said,
“The project is moving fast forward. Our prime focus is on bringing professional football to the city of Thiruvananthapuram.”
It is learnt that the club will bid for I-League spot for the coming season along with Gokulam FC.
