India U-23 to face Singapore in a friendly on Sunday

Indian U-23 National Team left for Singapore, yesterday (July 6, 2017) to play friendly matches against Singapore U-23 National Team on July 9 and 12 respectively, as a part of preparation for the upcoming AFC U-23 Qualifiers which is to be held in Qatar from 19th July 2017.

Indian coach Stephen Constantine felt the matches with Singapore would help the players to adapt with the intensity required for an International match, “This will be the first time when most of the boy will play an International match,”

He said. “The boys need to adapt quickly to the high intensity of an International match, especially that the bigger challenge in Doha lies ahead, we have treated the U-23 boys the same manner we train the Senior National Team with respect to the training, the meetings, the discipline and the diet plan.”
