With the likely departure of Pepe, Real Madrid are linked with Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci, but Sergio Ramos isn’t keen on having the Italian to partner him in the next season.

Reportedly, Sergio Ramos has spoken to the newly re-elected president Florentino Pérez about his concerns. The Los Blancos skipper insists there is no requirement to sign Bonucci and believes that Raphaël Varane and Nacho Fernández can step up to share the defensive burden alongside him.

Bonucci, who turned 30 in May, has established himself as one of the best centre-backs during his spell with Juventus and has been a prominent figure in the club’s successive Serie A triumphs.
