Kerala Blasters FC is one of the most important and popular franchises of Indian Super League. After a long absence of any representation from Kerala in the elite competitions of India, people of this southmost coastal state of India found their voice via this new franchise team in the footballing map of India.

The team has also got good success on the field. It has reached two finals of ISL but in both occasions got humbled by Atletico de Kolkata, the latest one in their home territory! The franchise boasts one of the strongest fanbases in the tournament and the fans never fall short in number to fill their home ground at Kochi.

But to survive for a longer period of time, every team needs good grassroot infrastructure and academy. It seems that Blasters have also realised its necessity sooner than later.

Kerala Blasters have announced that they are going to open ‘Football School’ at the state. They have asked kids from all the 14 districts of Kerala to take part in it.

The football school or academy will take admission in four age groups-U10, U12, U14 and U16. Kids below 16 years of age can only apply for it. Registration will begin on 1st July.

The football schools will open at all the 14 districts of Kerala attracting kids from all corners of the state and it’s surrounding. The project will also see co-operation from Kerala Football Association, the governing body of football in the state.
