Swapansadhan Bose may continue as Mohun Bagan president
Few days ago, the news of Swapansadhan Bose, more famously known as Tutu Bose resigning from the presidency of Mohun Bagan Athletic Club created shock-waves in Indian football. He expressed his desire to step down via a letter to Club Secretary Anjan Mitra citing health reasons.
The issue automatically attracted controversy as it coincided with AIFF almost making it clear that Bagan would not be a part of ISL this year.
But according to sources, the resignation letter may not get accepted by Bagan officials. Tomorrow an executive committee meeting of Mohun Bagan is scheduled to take place at the club tent. Besides several other issues, the resignation letter of Tutu Bose would also be a hot topic of discussion. Sources claim that the officials may not accept Tutu’s letter and as a consequence he may continue as the President unless he remains unmoved from his stand.
The meeting may also see some changes like Srinjoy Bose, the son of Tutu Bose being promoted. The probability of long serving secretary Anjan Mitra stepping down is also in the air but chances are slim.In a nutshell, some hot topics of discussion may arise from the meeting on Friday.
