Bengaluru FC appoints Naushad Moosa as their assistant coach
Indian Super League side Bengaluru FC has appointed former Pune FC youth coach and AFC Pro-License holder Naushad Moosa as Indian Assistant Coach for the first team. He will have an added responsibility of managing newly formed BFC reserves.
Speaking about his new task, the 46 year old said: “As a coach, it is a privilege to join a club that has a winning mentality. Bengaluru FC has won a trophy in each of its four seasons and the professionalism of this team is second to none. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the setup here.”
He formerly served as head coach of Pune FC U19 side, where he helped the reds to grab two youth league titles in his three years with the club. Moosa also had stints with Air India and Mumbai FC youth side in his early days of coaching career.
Mustafa Ghouse COO of Bengaluru side expressed his happiness in signing him: “We are very happy to add Naushad to our backroom staff. His experience as a player and coach will add a lot of value to our team and the added responsibility of managing the reserve squad will see him nurture the future stars at BFC”.
A former footballer himself, Moosa will join Albert Roca and Carles Cuadrat as the Blues’ first team coaches.The 46-year-old will head the newly formed BFC reserve side.
