Sevilla to re-sign Ever Banega from Inter
The Argentina international is set to put pen to paper on a three-year deal in his return to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
Sevilla have confirmed that they have agreed to re-sign midfielder Ever Banega from Internazionale.
The Argentina international spent two seasons at the La Liga club before leaving to the San Siro last summer, but now the La Liga outfit has agreed to a 3-year deal return to Spain.
Banega departs San Siro having made 20 starts but he did manage to contribute six goals and eight assists.
He arrives back to Sanchez Pizjuan after playing a crucial role in the club’s triumph to win the Europa League for two consecutive seasons in 2015 and 2016.
The 28-year-old will help Sevilla improve on their 4th place finish in La Liga and will also look to improve on their Champions League run, as they were knocked out in the last 16 by Leicester City.
Banega will be Eduardo Berizzo’s first major signing after he took over the club from Jorge Sampaoli earlier in June.
Banega will hope that he can continue his pleasant run in Sanchez Pizjuan as he did in both the seasons which lead to Sevilla winning the Europa League for consecutive years in 2015 and 2016.
