He spent the last two seasons on loan to Rayo Vallecano and Málaga respectively, where he earned the much awaited regular first-team action.
Speaking in an interview with Real Sociedad TV, the club’s official TV channel, Llorente said:
“Everything I have heard about San Sebastian has been very good,”
“I’m very happy that a club like Real Sociedad have shown an interest in me.”
“Real Sociedad has a very good reputation – both in Spain and in Europe.”
The 23-year-old made his Spain debut in May last year in a friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The club further confirmed that Diego will be officially unveiled as a La Real player on a latter date and will join the rest of the squad on July 7 as they start preparations for the new La Liga campaign.
