Lorenzo Pellegrini all set to join to Roma
Sassuolo midfielder, Lorenzo Pellegrini is all set to sign for Roma and the deal will be completed very soon with a reported release clause to be present in the new contract.
Pellegrini is currently participating in the Under21 European Championships in Poland. According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, if the Azzurrini failed to progress to the Semi-finals he would have landed in Rome and completed the move. But the Azzurrini have progressed to the semi-finals and now the Roma representatives will fly to Poland and complete the transfer.
Pellegrini came up through the Roma youth academy and was sold to Sassuolo for €1.25m in 2015. That deal included a buy-back clause which the Giallorossi are activating to get the talented midfielder back on board.
The new contract that he will sign for Roma will have a release clause for the 21-year-old talented midfielder. The 21-year-old had a great season at Sassuolo with 8 goals and 7 assists in all competitions.
Pellegrini will be reunited with his former Sassuolo manager Eusebio Di Francesco, as the Italian was recently appointed at the Stadio Olimpico as their new boss.
