Chelsea to secure services of Alex Sandro for a club record transfer fee of £61 million
Chelsea are closing in on Alex Sandro after Juventus gave their approval to a new, improved offer, while the defender has told the club he wants to move to West London.
Chelsea are now confident of securing services of Alex Sandro for a club-record fee of €70 million (£61.2m).
Antonio Conte has made the Brazilian left-back a top target for Chelsea this summer as he wants to upgrade his squad for Champions League and also defend the Premier League title.
The Old Lady are satisfied with the proposal, while Sandro has already agreed terms on a lucrative package with the Blues.
If the talks go in Chelsea’s favour during the next few days, Sandro will become Chelsea’s first major signing of the summer.
Juve are also expected to lose Dani Alves to Manchester City and will look to resolve Sandro’s situation so that they can bring in replacements as soon as possible.
Sandro is on the verge of becoming Chelsea’s most expensive transfer costing more than the £50m they paid to Liverpool to sign Fernando Torres in January 2011
With both the fullbacks set to move away from Turin, Allegri will be looking for replacements and the Italian manager has looked a the Italian pair of De Sciglio of AC Milan and Matteo Darmian of Manchester United.
This transfer window will be testing for the Italian Champions as Alex Sandro heading to Chelsea, Dani Alves has terminated his contract to join Manchester City and Leonardo Bonucci has also been linked with several Premier League clubs.
On the other Chelsea are linked with Romelu Lukaku, Virgil Van Dijk and Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer. These players feature right at the top of Conte’s transfer target list, as he looks to bolster the side for next season’s Champions League.
