Borussia Monchengladbach signs West Ham defender on loan
West Ham defender Reece Oxford joined Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach on a season long loan deal. The 18 year old defender is regarded as one of the hot prospect of English football.
Oxford spent last season on loan with Championship side Reading FC after recovering from an injury which he suffered at the start of the season. Standing 6 foot tall, the young English defender is the second youngest player to start a Premier league game.
After completing the deal, Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl said:
“Reece is considered one of the country’s best young defensive talents. This loan deal gives us the chance to add a very interesting player to our squad.”
Reece can also play in midfield as a defensive midfielder; He has already signed a contract extension with the club in last December, which will keep him at the club till 2021.
