India U-19’s to face Singapore in back to back matches

The Indian U-19 National Team will face Singapore in a friendly match today. The Blue colts will play back to back matches against U-19 national side of Singapore on 19th and 21st June 2017 at the Bambolim stadium in Goa.

The Indian colts had a good domestic campaign winning U-18 league for the third consecutive time and looks to continue their impressive form against the visitors.

Head Coach Floyd Pinto seems excited about the fixture,

“We are excited to test ourselves against Singapore. It will be a tough clash for us but the boys will give their hundred percent in the matches”

“The boys are putting in their hard work. They know the enormity of the task ahead and are ready for any challenge that comes their way”

“We have to work hard in our preparation for the upcoming tournaments and the matches against Singapore provide us with an opportunity to test various iterations in the squad”

“At the same time, we respect our opponents (Singapore) and we have to be cautious to not get complacent as they (Singapore) possess the tools to hurt us”, he concluded.

The Indian U-19s will participate in the SAFF U-19 Championship in Bhutan and AFC U-19 Championship Qualifiers in Saudi Arabia which will be held later this year.
