Mathieu Valbuena all set to join Fenerbahce
Fenerbahce have secured a deal to sign France international Mathieu Valbuena from Lyon.
The 32-year old former France International will sign a contract with the Istanbul giants within a few days as the reported fee seems to be around 3-4 million.
The Turkish giants are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of their new season as they were underwhelming in the Super Lig with a 3rd place finish in 2016/17.
The Istanbul giants have already captured Mehmet Ekici from Trabzonspor, and they are not over yet in the transfer market as they announce Valbuena as their 2nd high profile signing.
Valbuena grew out of favour for Lyon, as he lost his first team spot after the arrival of Memphis Depay from Manchester United. The former France International started only 15 matches in Ligue 1 in 2016/17 season.
It will be a new chapter in Valbuena’s footballing career as he will join the Istanbul side and he will hope that he can take Fenerbahce back to glory.
