German international Serge Gnabry on verge of a sensational transfer
Werder Bremen winger Serge Gnabry is all set to join Hoffenheim.
Gnabry joined Werder Bremen last summer in a £5m deal from Arsenal. He helped the German side to finish 8th in the Bundesliga this season. The German international has made 27 Bundesliga appearances this season scoring eleven times and assisting twice in the process.
According to German publication BILD, Gnabry has set his sights on a move to Hoffenheim this summer just one year after his arrival in Bundesliga. They go on to claim that Gnabry’s €10m move to Julian Nagelsmann’s side is “all but done”.
Hoffenheim finished at 4th position last season in Bundesliga ensuring a Champions League spot and that’s rumoured to be the likely reason of Gnabry’s move. Rumours are also stating that Gnabry has a buy-out clause in his contract which can only be activated by Bayern Munich.
Gnabry, an Arsenal youngster was highly rated by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger. But his time at the Emirates was plagued by injuries and ultimately he moved to Germany. His sensational form has attracted a lot of talks of him being returning to Arsenal. But no official approach has been made from the North London side and Gnabry is ready to make his next move.
Gnabry made his international debut in 2016. He has already scored 3 goals in 2 games for the Die Mannschaft side.
