Spurs closing in on Sebastian Driussi
Mauricio Pochettino is in hunt for a playmaker and it seems he is gaining status in bringing a lad of his homeland, Sebastian Driussi. His Argentanian club River Plate at last made up their mind to listen to the bid of this season Premier league runners-up.
Tottenham took a sharp eye on this young player and was very much in the race to lure him in the summer transfer window. And now with Plate ready to accept any offer for the Argentine, the North London club has a step forward.
Driussi has also drawn attention from clubs like Marseille and Roma. The battle for Pochettino is with French club Marseille who are ready to offer £11 million. However, Spurs are financially strong than these two clubs and quite easily could tempt the central striker.
Pochettino could give him the role of playing as a supporting role to Harry Kane, the main goal gater of the team. This will also curve out much dependency on the England International. And with Eriksen, Son and Alli administrating the attacking calibre, Sebastian could run along planks providing extra need of help and energy. So, he will be a vital introduction in Poch’s decorated team of youngsters.
