Argentine top division striker in the radar of Red and Gold
As the transfer window is reaching its peak, the Kolkata giants are slowly moulding themselves to the heat of the moment.
Amidst the dilemma regarding the ISL issue, East Bengal is showing no signs of idleness as they are already in the mood of bolstering their side holding talks with several players. The foreigners are the one upon whom the fate of the clubs often depend in Indian football. This is an issue or segment in which the Red and Gold have suffered in the last few seasons.
As a consequence they are reluctant of repeating the mistakes and are taking cautious steps in recruiting the foreigners.
According to sources, the biodata of an Argentine striker has arrived at the club tent.
The name of the player is Germán Alejandro Lessman who currently plays for Club Atletico Huracan in Buenos Aires in the Argentine Premier División.
The 26 year old is a Centre-forward and joined Huracan on a four year contract last September which expires on 30th June, 2020. Since joining the top division club of Argentina, the striker has failed to find the net in four outings.
Lessman joined CA Huracan from Club Atletico All Boys which plays in Primera B Nacional, the second tier of Argentine football pyramid. After impressive performances with All Boys scoring 17 times in 21 matches, Lessman was recruited by the top tier side of Argentina in 2016.
The 1.81 metre tall striker had stints in the likes of Colon, Tiro Federal, Rangers(Chille) after making his senior debut in 2010 and has netted 46 goals in 138 appearances in his career so far. The player is a client of BBC Management GmBH Agency which has the likes of Luiz Adriano, Alisson, Giovanni Simeone, Mario Lemina in their client list.
German Alejandro Lessman is also fondly called by the nickname ‘Rooney’ by his fans as according to them he holds similarities with the English legend physically and also plays in the same position as the Merseysider.
Sources claim that the officials are interested in the player and may soon pursue conversation with him. The player is also looking for a move away for more matchtime.
On the other hand, Ghanaian international striker Seidu Bancey whom we reported a week ago as being linked to East Bengal is reportedly scheduled to arrive at Kolkata soon and will undergo a trial.
