Teams line up to sign Lacazette, but Lyon’s demands are yet to be fulfilled
The France international is expected to be on the move this summer, as he always had speculations of moving away from France.
Lyon are prepared to let their talismanic striker leave but for the right price. Both Arsenal and Liverpool are linked with the Frenchman.
Lacazette has been on the radar of quite a few clubs for some time now. His impressive performances every year attract suitors to lure him out of Lyon.
The 25-year old has been in prolific form as he has netted 35 goals in 44 appearances this season.
He has broken the 20-goal mark for successive 4 seasons and Lyon has acknowledged that Lacazette will leave as soon as their demands are met.
Owner Jean-Michel Aulas told reporters: “Alex had a good option with a club that is in his heart. He also added “If the club of his heart is able to match our demands then things will go well. Otherwise, it will depend on our other business.”
West Ham was also tracking the Frenchman last season, but the Hammers saw a reported £43 million bid turned down.
The price is more likely to increase now after a number of goals he has scored and with clubs keeping a close eye on him, the price is expected to rise further.
Arsenal has been linked with Lacazette for a long time now as they will look to add more fluidity after a poor season Whereas Liverpool may be interested as well as they look to add depth to their squad as they will feature in European competitions next season.
But the Premier League giants needs to hurry up as the deal seems to be tilting toward the Rojiblancos. Atletico Madrid are ahead in the race to sign the French forward, as they are searching for a backup in case Griezmann leaves them with a void to fill.
So its just matter of time for Lacazette and it will be interesting to see where the Frenchman finally land or stays in his homeland.
