Everton Football Club have unveiled their home kit for the 2017/18 season with new club sponsors – SportPesa.

The kit was launched at the Invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool as part of the Together Blue campaign. The campaign celebrates the strong local contingent in the Blues squad – inspired by club legend Dixie Dean, who famously scored 60 goals during the 1927/28 season on his way to becoming Everton’s all-time leading goal-scorer.

The Umbro-designed kit comprises of a traditional royal blue shirt with navy blue panels, white shorts and white socks while the goalkeeper kit comprises of salmon pink shirt and shorts.

The kit also sees the return of the cult diamond pattern on both the sleeves and the shorts. There is also a small motif of Dixie Dean which features on the back of the neck of the shirt.

The pique fabric used in the shirt is designed to aid performance, while the structured mesh in the underarm area helps with better skin breathing.

The shorts have contrast side panels and woven fabric to give players extra movement while the white socks are made with cotton footbed for better comfort, featuring a blue contrast stripe and the Umbro logo.

Speaking at the launch event, Umbro general manager Anthony Little said: “The design of the new 2017-18 home kit proudly includes a nod to both our own and Everton’s traditions, while preparing the players, Club and its fans for an exciting future. We’re pleased to bring this to life using players at the Club that represent the idea of Together Blue perfectly.”

Academy graduate and local lad, Tom Davies added: “The pride all us local lads have playing for Everton can’t really be described – but I really feel like I’m representing the fans when I pull on the blue shirt.”

The kit will go on sale on June 8 in men’s, women’s and infant sizes. The kit can also be pre-ordered currently, online at Everton Direct, or in stores at Everton One (at Goodison Park) and Everton Two (at Liverpool One).
