Manchester City and Leicester City are set to lock horns at the Etihad Stadium.
This season hasn’t gone quite as expected for the Sky Blues. With the arrival of Pep Guardiola, the expectations were high. But they have relatively underperformed. City have been knocked out of the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the UEFA Champions League. Chelsea have already been crowned the champions of England. Therefore, Pep Guardiola will end this season trophyless, the first in his managerial career so far. City have a fight in hand to secure a Champions League spot for next season. With Liverpool leading by a single point and both Arsenal & Manchester United breathing at their neck, City have no room for error this time.
Leicester City’s season has also been quite dramatic. The reigning champions couldn’t replicate their form this term. A string of losses saw Claudio Ranieri being sacked and Craig Shakespeare being appointed at the helm of the Foxes. Under Shakespeare, they have been brilliant so far collecting the third most number of points after Chelsea and Tottenham. They also reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League only to be knocked out by a resilient Atlético Madrid. Leicester have already survived the scare of relegation. Leicester would like to end the season on a high note by finishing at the top half of the table.

Robert Huth is a serious doubt for the match. But the Foxes are increasingly confident he will be fit for the match on time.

Leicester are unbeaten against Manchester City in their last 3 meetings. They beat City 4-2 at the King Power Stadium earlier this season. Their previous two meetings last season ended in a 0-0 draw and a 3-1 win respectively for the Foxes.
Keeping their 3-match unbeaten run against Manchester City in mind, Leicester would be confident enough to pull off another upset at the Etihad. But Manchester City must win this match to keep their Champions League hopes alive. I will go with a 3-1 scoreline in favour of Manchester City.
