Alvaro Morata snubs £147m offer from China for Chelsea?
Alvaro Morata has rejected a £147m offer from China as the Spanish International wants Blues switch.
Spanish paper Marca are claiming the Real Madrid striker would earn £29.4million a season to move to the Asian league.
But the Spanish striker has turned down the offer as he would rather hoping to switch to the Premier League giants Chelsea.
Morata has been good this season with whatever chances he has got. Zidane mostly uses him as a substitute or keeps him on the bench. After returning from Juventus Morata has been playing second fiddle to Benzema.
Reports suggest that Chelsea are linked with Morata due to uncertainty over Diego Costa’s future. Morata also holds high regards for Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
“Conte is the manager who most ‘bet’ on me, without even ever having had me in his team,” Morata told the Guardian. “I’m very conscious of that: he bet on me for Juventus but left before I arrived; then he wanted me at Chelsea come what may. He knows me better than I could imagine, I’m sure, and that’s important: it motivates you to work hard, train well.
He also added“I feel indebted to him because he’s the coach that most trusted in me, most wanted me, who made me feel I could perform at the highest level. And yet I’ve never had the fortune to actually work with him. I’m sure sooner or later I will.” So it seems like it is only matter of time when Morata and Conte gets united and work together.
