AC Milan rekindle their chase for the Fiorentina man
Associazone Calcio Milan is seemingly set to revamp their squad next season under the new ownership. As a result, omission of some current players and inclusion of some new prominent ones are inevitable.
Fiorentina’s Croatian midfielder Milan Badelj is featuring in the wishlist of Milan as a very important candidate according to reports in Sky Italia. The Croat international who plays as a Central-defensive midfielder has evolved after joining La Viola from Hamburger SV and has become one of the most prominent names in Serie A. With the position of Defensive midfield being needed to address, Milan Badelj can be an intelligent addition by the Rossoneri.
The midfielder was approached by Milan in the previous transfer windows also and according to Dejan Joksimović, the agent of the player, the Milan giants also struck a deal with him at €15 million but Fiorentina retreated at the last moment and it did not materialise.
But Mirabelli and Fassone are seemingly confident to resist such technical obstacles this time around. Badelj’s contract with the Florence outfit will expire in 2018 and according to sources, they are ready to sell him at even a low sum of around €4-5 million!
Milan will face tough competition from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and AS Roma who are also interested in the player. But keeping the current proceedings and the overall scenario in consideration, Milan are seemingly at pole position in their mission of landing the Croat at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza next season.
