Barca legend Guillermo Amor parts ways with A-League outfit
Amidst widespread speculations, Guillermo Amor finally parts ways with A-League outfit Adelaide United. He reportedly told the club President Greg Griffin of his decision before leaving the South Australian club.
Amor, a European Cup winner with the Blaugarana joined Adelaide United in 2014-2015 being requested by then Adelaide manager and his former colleague at Barca academy Josep Gombau as the Technical Director of the club and worked in collaboration with him.
The next season saw Amor taking the charge of the Reds and did wonders by doing the double of lifting the A-League Premiership and Championship. He was also awarded the A-League Coach of the year and PFA Manager of the year in 2016.
But the former Spanish international has decided to call it a day with his time downunder and would return to Spain inspite of being linked with Melbourne City.
Adelaide has already started the search of their new coach and would probably recruit one before the pre-season starts from June.
