Napoli becomes the first club to partner a dating site
SSC Napoli, one of the much famed ‘Seven sisters’ of Italian football has announced on Monday that they have officially struck a deal with online dating site Tinder. The club from the Southern part of the peninsula has become the first football club to do what has been considered pretty much a ‘taboo’.
But the surprise does not end only there, as a part of the deal they will set up a profile of their Polish striker Arakdusiz Milik in Tinder so that he can communicate with the fans!
David Wyler, the Vice-president of Tinder said,”We are happy to support Arek Milik and SSC Napoli. Tinder is first and foremost a platform for meeting new people. We look forward to connecting fans with their favourite player.”
Milik will select the four best replies according to him and will also meet them physically. The Polish striker who was brought to Naples from Ajax in the summer as a replacement of Gonzalo Higuain has had a season hampered by injuries.
He is having a modest tally of 8 goals this season for the Partenopi across all competitions. But that has nothing to do with his unwavering fan following as he happily accepts this new project.
Milik said,”I am really proud to be part of this unique and innovative initiative with Tinder.”
“Technology brings people together, just like sports, and I look forward to starting this new adventure.”, he added.
