Monaco’s Fabinho in the radar of Inter Milan
Inter would probably raid Monaco to address their Right-back issue in the summer.
Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco has been the surprise package in European football this season. Under the guidance of Leonardo Jardim, they are achieving heights which many would have doubted at the beginning of the campaign.
The team comprises of a number of promising young talents. Brazillian fullback Fabinho is one of the most notables among them. The player has been sensational this season for the principality club and even according to many he is the most complete right back in world football at the moment.
Where there is talent there will be suitors and the case of Fabinho has been no exception. The Brazillian has been linked with many European giants and the latest addition is FC Internazionale of Milan.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter’s Sporting Director Piero Ausillo is a big admirer of the right back who can also play as a central-defensive midfielder. According to sources, Ausillo had a dinner with Fabinho’s agent Jorge Mendes at Monte Carlo before the first leg of the UCL semis between Monaco and Juventus. Ausillo inquired about the demands of the Brazillian and his agent and is interested to pursue on it.
Fabinho joined Monaco as a loanee from Real Madrid and since then has developed himself in the Ligue 1 outfit under some of the most renowned managers.
2016-17 has proved to be his breakthrough season as he has netted 11 times in 50 games for the Red and white, a remarkable tally for a fullback, automatically attracting some of the biggest names of the game.
Inter will probably initiate talks with AS Monaco now as agreement between the two clubs is necessary before penning down any contract.
Stefano Pioli is currently having D’Ambrosio as his main right back who is also in the wishlist of many clubs and may depart San Siro in the summer. Fabinho could be a great buy in that case.
