Inter eyeing Roma defender Antonio Rudiger
FC Internazionale has been behind several players over the last season, especially centre-backs. Now a new name makes the list of their probable targets in the summer and he is none other than AS Roma’s Antonio Rudiger.
The defender joined the Italian capital outfit from Stuttgart in 2015 and has gradullay become a prominent figure in Spaletti’s setup at Roma. He is also being considered as one of the best emerging centre-backs in European football and Inter boss Stefano Pioli is also a big admirer of him.
With Miranda falling prey to ageing, Inter need a long term replacement of the Brazillian who can lead their defence in the upcoming seasons. And for that Rudiger seems an ideal choice.
Although Kostas Manolas, the teammate of Rudiger at Roma was also linked with the Nerazzurri previously. The Greek international is featuring in the wishlist of many European heavyweights. Inter are also keeping track of Benfica’s Swedish centre-back Victor Lindelof and would probably join the race with Manchester United in the summer to sign him.
But at the moment, the news from Milan is that Inter is ready to splash €40M Euros to secure the services of Rudiger. They have also initiated talks with the Roma defender.
