European giants tracking Moussa Dembele
Celtic wonder kid Moussa Dembele is on the radar of a number of European giants.
French Under-21 striker, Moussa Dembélé, is one of the hottest young prospects in the transfer market right now. One of the most sought after strikers, he has scored a whooping 32 goals for Celtic this season across all competitions, helping them win the league and the league cup titles.
The 20-year-old Frenchman joined Celtic last summer from English championship side, Fulham FC, for a meagre £500,000, snubbing a host of high-profile clubs.
His pace and lethal eye for goal have caught the attention of European elites. Chelsea reportedly tried to sign him last January but that went in vain. West Ham had a reported £25m bid turned down by the club. Juventus are also said to be keen and are keeping a track on Dembélé’s progress.
France Football claims that Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for the French striker with question marks looms over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future. The Gabonese international is heavily linked with a number of clubs including Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. If Dortmund does cash-in on Aubameyang then Dembélé will be their top priority.
Tottenham are also ready to make a move for the young striker having previously been beaten by Celtic for his signature. Reports also suggest that Manchester United boss José Mourinho may turn his attention towards Dembélé if they fail to sign Antoine Griezmann this summer.
Dembélé has a contract at Celtic Park that runs until 2020 and only a huge offer can convince Celtic to get rid of their prized asset.
