Diego Costa edges closer to Record-Breaking Transfer to Tianjin Quanjian.
Diego Costa is on the brink of signing a deal that will make him the highest paid footballer in the world.
Tianjin Quanjian, who had attempted to secure Costa’s services in January transfer window, and they are expected to sign the forward in a deal worth up to £76m this summer.
Diego Costa will earn £25 Million a year which is £625,000 a week.
Costa was in a row with the Chelsea manager Antonio Conte earlier in the season when he flirted with a winter move to the CSL. Since then his form has dipped and the brace against Southampton ended his seven game scoreless streak in all the competitions.
Reports in London last week claimed that Costa’s representatives met with the Tianjin’s officials last week to discuss a possible deal and Tianjin’s owners has fueled this speculation by stating that they’ve agreed personal terms with a number of new signings.
Chelsea would not turn down this big size of bid for 29 Year Old Costa , who has scored 19 goals this season and the London club has started looking for the possible replacements for the striker with Romelu Lukaku on the top of their wishlist.
