Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel could follow in his father’s footsteps by signing for the Red Devils.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly looking for a proper replacement for his star goalkeeper David De Gea, the name of Foxes’ stopper has been linked to the club recently.
Reports suggest that David De Gea has hand in a transfer request to the United authorities and is edging towards a move to the Spanish Capital. United are also raiding Atletico’s Jan Oblak but the Slovenian’s move at Old Trafford is highly unlikely as Atlético are unwilling to sale him until they find a proper replacement for him.
Schmeichel’s new agent Luca Bascherini has added more fuel into the speculation linking him to the Theatre of Dreams. The Italian agent has strong ties with United having overseen Nani and Patrice Evra’s moves to Old Trafford.
The Denmark international has kept 13 clean sheets this season in all competitions, despite Leicester having a difficult season. His contract at the King Power runs until June 2021.
