Bundesliga giants chasing Turkish wonderkid Enes Unal
Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund join the race along with Lazio to sign the Turkish wonderkid Enes Unal.
According to reports from the Italian Newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio are interested in signing the 19 year old Manchester city striker Enes Unal on loan at FC Twente. But recent reports say that German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in signing the 19 year old Turkish.
The Turkish striker has scored 17 goals in 29 appearances this season for Twente. He expects a top 5 finish for Twente this season and ready to give whatever it takes to finish there. When he scored his 12th goal for Twente, he overtook Colin Kazim-Richards as the highest-scoring Turkish international in Eredivisie history.
Unal, who identifies Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his idol, had all the hallmarks of a wonderkid. He got the attentions of scouts after he scored 182 goals in 110 appearances for Turkish side Buraspor reserves before getting promoted to the senior squad.
Two years later he joined English club Manchester city and then was loaned to Genk with not a very good season. Then he went on loan to NAC where he scored 8 in 11 appearances before Joining Twente in 2016. He has scored 24 goals in 25 games for the Turkey U-16 squad before getting picked up for the senior squad and has made 5 appearances for the senior team
City could demand around € 10 million for the Turkish striker but City currently are in no hurry to sell him. He joins the side in the summer for their summer tour of the United States and would have a look at the young talent before deciding his future.
