Time Over for Perez at Arsenal
Arsenal misfit Lucas Perez could be heading back to former club Deportivo La Coruna on loan. Perez left the Spanish club for Arsenal last summer but he has struggled to nail down a place in Arsene Wenger’s first team.
The 28-year-old was in superb form last season, scoring 19 goals and assisting 11 more for Deportivo, which secured his move to the Emirates. However, he has been little more than a bit-part player at Arsenal, managing just two starts in the Premier League.
Now it has been suggested that a return to his old club is on the cards, with an initial loan swap mooted.
Suso to move back to the Prem?
Tottenham have been given a boost in their pursuit of former Liverpool ace Suso after his contract talks at AC Milan hit a snag.
The San Siro giants are working hard on a new deal for the 23-year-old schemer in a bid to ward off the interest from Spurs. Milan were hoping to get a new contract signed and sealed before the transfer window opens to avoid any bids from north London, but now, according to reports in Italy, Suso’s future has been plunged into doubt after he demanded a higher annual salary than initially agreed.
It has been claimed that the forward had accepted a deal worth around £2million per year but now, after interest in him from across Europe, he now wants closer to £2.5m in order to put pen to paper.
Kapustka’s Leicester endeavour over?
Roma have set their sights on promising Leicester winger Bartosz Kapustka. The Premier League champions held off strong interest from a number of clubs to land the 20-year-old last summer in what was considered a major coup.
However, he has struggled to establish himself at Leicester and has failed to appear in the Premier League at all, with cup competitions and the Under-23s providing his only competitive action.
That has left questions marks over his future with a potential loan move away this summer suggested. But, according to reports in Italy, Roma are targeting a permanent swoop for Kapustka, who cost the Foxes £7.5m last summer.
Dilemma for Bernardeschi
Chelsea target Federico Bernardeschi is expected to wait until the summer before deciding whether or not to sign a new deal at Fiorentina. The talented forward has been offered an extension on his current deal, which includes a substantial pay rise and would tie him to the club until 2022.
However, given the strong interest from Chelsea and also Bayern Munich, Bernardeschi is yet to put pen-to-paper on the terms and it has now been reported that he is considering his options.
According to reports in Italy, the 23-year-old could double his money if he signed for Chelsea, who are currently managed by his compatriot Antonio Conte.Because of that, it has been suggested that Bernardeschi is in no hurry to make a decision and will wait until the current season is done and dusted before deciding his next move.
