Monaco vs Dortmund second leg Match Preview
After a terrible week for Borussia Dortmund, they returned strongly with a 3:1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. Marco Reus made a dream comeback scoring within the first 3 minutes but Marco Fabian equalized with a terrific long range effort. The second goal for Dortmund came quickly by Sokratis with another terrific long range effort and in the 83rd minute Aubameyang sealed the victory for Dortmund with an amazing assist by Dembele.
On the other hand Monaco were at home against Dijon.Dijon took and early lead and then goals by Dirar and Falcao with a terrific free kick sealed their victory. This week Dortmund travel to the Stade Louis II to face the French Ligue 1 leaders AS Monaco. The Ligue 1 leaders have taken an important 3 away goals as they went on to win 2:3 in Dortmund.
The Ligue 1 leaders have last lost a European match at home against Anderlecht in 2015. With the away goal advantage they eye for a spot in the Champions league semi finals where they last reached 13 years ago. On the other hand Borussia Dortmund would also eye for a spot in the champions league semis where they reached 4 years ago but it will be tough.
The eight time Bundesliga winners have won only two of their last 9 visits to France which came against Auxerre and Marseille. Dortmund have a nice away record and hv last lost a European away match against Liverpool last season while its been 20 years since Monaco lost against German opposition at home. It will be an exciting match to witness.

Monaco will be without their defensive midfielder Fabinho who saw his third yellow in the champions league in Dortmund leading to him missing the next match. They will also miss their Argentine striker Guido Carrillo suffering from a groin injury and Brazilian left winger Boschilia suffering from a ruptured ligament.Djibril Sidibe will be another player missing the match due to Appendicitis. On the other hand Bakayoko will return after suspension. The scorer of the winning goal against Manchester city will be looking forward on the game against the German giants.
