Leicester were outclassed for large parts of the first leg but, crucially, return to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday with their storied opponents well in their sights after Griezmann’s goal.

After a disappointing match against Atletico, the Foxes came back to the PL to make strong amendments but could only draw against Crystal Palace, after blowing away a 2 goal lead.

Meanwhile Atlético enjoyed a convincing 3-0 win against Osasuna on Saturday with goals from Yannick Ferreira Carrasco (2) and Felipe Luis. The win extends Atletico’s unbeaten run in all competitions to 10 matches.
