Leicester City vs Atletico Madrid second leg Match Preview
Leicester City FC host Atlético de Madrid at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday in the 2nd leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie.
Atlético Madrid outclassed Leicester City in each and every department of the game in the first leg to win the match by 1-0 at the Vicente Calderón, courtesy of a controversial Griezmann penalty in the 28 the minute after being brought down by Albrighton who seemed to have made contact outside the box.
Leicester were outclassed for large parts of the first leg but, crucially, return to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday with their storied opponents well in their sights after Griezmann’s goal.
After a disappointing match against Atletico, the Foxes came back to the PL to make strong amendments but could only draw against Crystal Palace, after blowing away a 2 goal lead.
Meanwhile Atlético enjoyed a convincing 3-0 win against Osasuna on Saturday with goals from Yannick Ferreira Carrasco (2) and Felipe Luis. The win extends Atletico’s unbeaten run in all competitions to 10 matches.

Leicester City FC:
Huth will serve a one-match suspension after picking up another yellow card in the first leg. Shakespeare will hope to welcome captain Wes Morgan back from injury in Huth’s absence. But he still remains a doubt. Nampalys Mendy is out for a long term. Islam Slimani is a doubt too.
Centre-back Yohan Benalouane was taken off in Saturday’s draw but is expected to start. Marcin Wasilewski is available as backup.
Atlético de Madrid:
Simeone has some injury concerns, with keeper Miguel Moya, midfielder Nico Gaitan, Tiago all expected to miss out. Diego Simeone could have striker Kevin Gameiro back after he returned to training following a groin injury. Sime Vrsaljko remains a doubt with a knee problem .
