Thomas Tuchel will not have the services of Mario Gotze and Erik Durm who are out for this clash. Whereas the likes of Shinji Kagawa, Andre Schurrle also have issues with their fitness. But Marco Reus has returned to training but is unlikely to start. Julian Weigl also had a niggle in training but hopefully will be available for selection.

With the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ousmane Dembele, Christian Pulisic Dortmand can torment any defence, particularly a Monaco backline which has been quite shaky in recent matches. After a heavy loss against Bayern Tuchel may change the formation and a 4-1-4-1 formation looks more likely.

AS Monaco:

Tiemoue Bakayoko is out suspended for Monaco but Kamil Glik will be back after a ban to strenghthen the back line. Falcao who scored in the weekend win against Angers will feature alongside Kylian Mbappe in attack. Gabriel Boschilia and Guido Carillo are out and Djibril Sidibe who was hospitalised last weekend is also set to miss out. As Glik will take charge of the backline and play in the heart of the defence Raggi will be shifted to right- back position.

Leonardo Jardim has a young bunch of extremely talented players and are more than capable of getting a result in their favour in Germany.

Potential Lineups

Dortmund (4-1-4-1): Burki-Piszczek, Sokratis, Bartra-Schmelzer, Weigl, Pulisic, Castro, Guerreiro, Dembele, Aubameyang
