Wilfried Zaha race heats up
A number of Premier League clubs are tracking Wilfried Zaha.
According to The Guardian, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham, all are vying for the Crystal Palace winger with Spurs currently leading the chase. Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino lodged a £12m bid for Zaha last summer but Palace instantly rejected that.
The 24-year-old Ivory Coast International joined Crystal Palace in 2015 on a permanent basis after a failed stint of 18 months with Manchester United. During his 2 seasons at the Old Trafford, he didn’t start even a single match.
Zaha has been in phenomenal form this season notching up 2 goals for his country and 6 goals for his club including a man-of-the-match performance last matchday against table-toppers Chelsea. Palace are trying their best to keep hold of their prized asset. They are ready to offer Zaha more than £110,000 a week contract to fend off interest from opponents.
Zaha has a contract at Selhurst Park until 2020 and Daily Mail claims any offer less than £30m wouldn’t be entertained by Palace officials.
